Management decided to pursue a video management system that would allow management to screen visitors and VIPs at entrance and exit points while also providing maximum security and safety to employees, clients, and inventory.

CHALLENGE
Taiwan's Porsche Showcase and Service Center wanted a solution that would address the following key questions:
- How can IP video be used in conjunction with a VMS to mitigate theft and safety concerns?
- How can IP video be used in conjunction with a VMS to enable guest screening and system automation?
- How can IP video be used in conjunction with a VMS to optimize system reliability and allow for seamless integration with hardware and quick adoption by staff?
SOLUTION
- Network Optix and the reseller worked together to develop a surveillance solution that addressed each concern according to the given parameters. Nx provided the video management system (Nx Witness VMS) and the reseller provided the hardware (90 HD IP Cameras).
- Nx Witness VMS and HD IP Cameras capture video of visitors at entrance points and across the facility that operators access from a centralized location.
- Nx Witness VMS, integrated with Access Control, License Plate Recognition, and Face Recognition technology, allows for VIP clients and guests to be screened and identified quickly and accurately and provides clientele with a uniquely personalized luxury experience.
- System operators adopt and begin using the system immediately without training due to the simple user interface built into Nx Witness VMS.
- If a System Operator needs to find a guest or investigate what has occurred they simply open Nx Witness VMS and search archived video for a particular license plate or guest ID. Nx Witness VMS captures and stores metadata which allows operators to search an entire year of archived video in seconds using associated metadata (tags, bookmarks, etc).
- Nx Witness VMS Access Control, License Plate Recognition, and Face Recognition technology integrations and user-friendly interface reduce the amount of manpower necessary to achieve maximum security.
