It is with great pride and profound gratitude that I announce that Network Optix for the tenth year in a row, has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

When we founded this company fifteen years ago, our vision was to create software that could solve the complex problems of enterprise IP video, and be valued by users the world over for doing so. To look back now and see our platform actively used in over 180 countries daily is humbling (there are 195 countries on Earth). To see that global adoption translate into a full decade of sustained, high-level growth recognized by Inc. is simply extraordinary.

Making the Inc. 5000 list once is a significant achievement that reflects a period of intense effort and focus on ‘market fit’. To maintain a place on that list for ten consecutive years is a testament to something more: consistency, resilience, and an unwavering and passionate commitment to our mission. It demonstrates a long-term trust that has been placed in us by our customers around the globe.

This achievement belongs to our incredibly talented team, whose innovative spirit and dedication to our mission are the engine behind everything we do. It also very much belongs to our channel partners, building amazing business solutions upon our enterprise video platform. From our headquarters in Walnut Creek CA, to every corner of the world, your partnership, feedback, and belief in our product have fueled this journey the whole way so far.

Thank you for being a part of our story. We are more energized than ever to continue innovating, building, and serving you for the decade to come. - Nathan Wheeler, Network Optix Founder & CEO

Monthly Look at Video Intelligence:
Disaster Response and Aid

Wildlife CV

Each month, we explore a new application of video intelligence that could be built on the Nx EVOS platform. This time, we're taking a look at how intelligent video systems can support emergency response and disaster recovery. From real-time situational awareness to post-event damage assessment, Nx EVOS can help communities respond faster and more effectively when it matters most.

Real Time Surveillance Where Every Second Counts

When natural disasters strike, time is critical and limited. Whether the event is a wildfire, flood, earthquake, or hurricane, emergency teams depend on accurate real-time information to assess conditions on the ground and make quick decisions to save lives.

Standard video systems can offer some coverage but often require manual monitoring to identify threats or changes. Video intelligence solves this challenge by automatically surfacing meaningful insights.

Public safety platforms like LeoSight, Veoci, and FIRIS already use video and sensor data to support emergency operations. These systems combine feeds from fixed cameras, drones, satellites, and IoT sensors to deliver a clearer picture of unfolding events. By adding artificial intelligence, they can detect smoke, recognize damaged infrastructure, track crowd movement, and identify blocked roads or abnormal behavior.

Using Nx EVOS, developers could build similar capabilities and customize them to the needs of specific agencies or response teams. For example, intelligent detection can identify heat sources through smoke during fires, and AI models can be used to flag flooded streets or downed power lines and deliver alerts in real time. With edge processing and reliable system performance, these capabilities could even work in environments with limited network availability.

Streamlining Damage Assessment and Recovery

After an emergency, the next challenge is assessing damage and beginning recovery efforts. Manually inspecting large areas is time-consuming and often dangerous. Video intelligence can simplify this process.

Solutions like Pano AI use intelligent cameras and data models to evaluate post-event conditions. They help classify structural damage, identify high-risk areas, and guide relief operations. In these cases, video becomes more than surveillance. It becomes a source of real-time insights that support insurance claims, infrastructure repair, and aid coordination.

With Nx EVOS, developers can create similar tools using existing camera infrastructure. This enables emergency services, insurers, and municipalities to collect actionable information without needing to be physically on site.

A Smarter Framework For Modern Crisis Response

Emergency management is evolving. As climate events become more frequent and urban populations continue to grow, traditional systems are no longer enough. Intelligent video is becoming essential.

Nx EVOS provides the foundation to build next-generation emergency response solutions. It supports AI model deployment, edge processing, open integration, and multi-source data input out of the box. Whether identifying early signs of a wildfire, monitoring evacuation routes, or mapping damage after a major storm, Nx EVOS helps developers create solutions that make emergency response faster, safer, and more coordinated.

Looking Ahead

Video intelligence is already helping public agencies, private responders, and technology partners close key gaps in emergency management. With Nx EVOS, developers have the flexibility and tools to build video-driven systems that deliver real-time value during the most critical moments.
