Technical Support Engineer (Nx Meta)

Location: Moscow, Russia


An Nx Meta Technical Support Engineer is responsible for working with the Support, Development, and QA teams to provide amazing technical support to Nx customers, users, and internal staff by answering support tickets, writing support articles, answering community forum questions and staying up-to-date on all Nx products and technologies.

Nx Meta customers are usually third-party developers and integrators who are working on implementation of the plugins for Nx Products or third-party applications. Thus we are looking for a person with strong technical skills, experience with at least one of the scripting programming languages.

Experience with C++ is very desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide the technical support for end-users/integrators (Zendesk Support)
  • Acquire and Document feedback from the users “in the field” for Product Management
  • Help to build up test environments for the QA and development teams, recreate issues, ensure that they are fixed, test the product
  • Create and manage tasks for identified bugs in Jira(software, API/SDK documentation)
  • Collect the data about all existing known issues and write articles and community posts with methods to resolve them (Zendesk Help Center)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Administration of Windows, Ubuntu and Mac OS
    • OS installation
    • Services & Applications Installation
    • Development Tools Installation/Configuration
    • Log Browsing
    • Remote Administration Tools
    • Remote Troubleshooting
    • Standard Automation methods
  • Good understanding of the networking (OSI model, TCP/IP stack), important network protocols
  • English — Written: Advanced, Spoken: Intermediate
  • Understanding of client-server software architecture
  • Responsible, responsive, ready to resolve Issues, ability to deal with stress, ability to persuade
  • Experience in any scripting programming language (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Optional: experience in C++(syntax, functions, classes)
  • Optional: knowledge of the modern multimedia codecs & containers, multimedia transport protocols
  • Optional: experience in working with hypervisors (VMware, Virtual Box, etc.)
  • Optional: experience in video surveillance and video analytics
  • Optional: understanding REST API paradygm
  • Optional: some familiarity with ARM devices
